My Philosophy

These 3 words are what summarize my practice, and my own personal daily living. In order for us to live long, prosperous lives, no matter what, we have to have these 3 things in order.

1. We have to nourish our bodies with clean, whole foods and a spread of micronutrients.

2. We have to move and challenge our bodies appropriately and specific to our own personal needs. When it comes to food and Movement, I believe attention to detail is a must especially when fixing problems.

3. We have to surround ourselves with people we love and have practices that make our Spirit feel whole. I believe our bodies and spirit to be extremely complicated and bio-individual. 

Its important to understand that none of these 3 things have a linear progression. The important idea to know is to just be consciously aware when things are not going well. Dont seek to immediately conquer it, but acknowledge, and affirm.

Zak is a Holistic and Integrative Health oriented Sports Medicine, and Functional Movement Trainer. For the past decade, Zak has traveled the world working with some worlds most renowned Athletes and Celebrities, ensuring they have the tools and ability to do what they love for as long, and as comfortable as they can. His specialty is identifying root cause problems that indicate pain, injury, discomfort and more, by using a fusion of knowledge in Biomechanics, Table (Body) Work, Stretching, Mobility, Corrective Exercise, and Strength Training that he labels as Precision Functional Movement.

Why do Professional Athletes get Private Table Work?

What really lacks in Sports Medicine nowadays is the ability to have someone that treats you for your specific body. In team settings, you often get a blanket treatment plan they has to be utilized for an entire team. But everybody needs something different.

 

When it comes to being an athlete, looking out for your career with foresight is one of the most important things you can do. This means taking care of your body before things go south so that you can put yourself in the best possible position by remaining on the front lines for yourself and team. By getting table work and correctives regularly, you are actively mitigating your chances of injury, and also reducing the severity of the outcome when they do occur. While completely preventing injury is not possible, the Pros know that investing in Prevention is the wisest decision.
